ARCHDIOCESE BANKRUPTCY REORGANIZATION AND CLAIMS PROCESS
The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in January 2015 due to its financial obligations toward victims and survivors of clergy sexual abuse.
On May 26, 2016, the Archdiocese filed a reorganization plan that identifies more than $65 million in assets to compensate victims of abuse.
Archbishop Bernard Hebda wrote a letter to all Catholics in the area, outlining the major provisions of the reorganization plan. You can read his letter here.
For more information, you can read this FAQ about the plan.

It is important to note that all parishes within the archdiocese, including St. Rita's, are separate corporations and not part of the bankruptcy filing.
If you have any questions about how these actions affect St. Rita's, please feel free to contact Fr. Rick or our business administrator Rory Gilbert at 651-459-4596.
